Whitespace — the space between and around elements in a design — often looks like room to fill so nothing seems unfinished. It's the opposite: whitespace is part of what makes a design work, not leftover space from designing it.
Filling every inch doesn't mean saying more
The more you pack in, the less anything stands out. When everything competes for attention, nothing gets it. Air between elements doesn't remove content — it removes noise.
Empty space still says something
Generous spacing reads as confidence — it signals that a design doesn't need to shout to be noticed. Crowding everything in usually does the opposite: it reads as urgency, or as trying too hard to be seen.
